Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 for POP access

Follow the steps below to configure Microsoft Outlook 2003 for POP access.

â–º Go to Tools

â–º Email Accounts

• On the screen that opens, select the option:

â–º Add a new email account

• The next option select the POP3 option and move on.

• Now is the most important part of the configuration.

â–  Fill out the fields as indicated:

â–º Name: (Enter your name as you wish)

â–º Email Address: (Enter the email address you are configuring for Outlook)

â–  Following:

User Information

â–º User Name: (enter your full email address again)

â–º Password: (enter your password)

â–  In the Server Information field:

â–º Incoming mail (POP3): mail.yourdomain

â–º Outgoing mail (SMTP): mail.yourdomain

â–  Now Click the "More Settings" button.

â–º In the "Outgoing Server" tab select the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"
and check the 2 options below:

-My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
-Using the same config. the incoming mail server

â–  Clicking OK will return you to the previous screen.
Having completed all the fields, you can click the "Test Account Settings"
to make sure all fields are filled in correctly.
