Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2007 for POP access

Follow the steps below to configure Microsoft Outlook 2007 for POP access.

Whenever you are asked to e-mail (or, in some cases, the account login) in configuring email programs use the full address (Example: joao@dominio.tld).

1. Click Tools, then Account Settings.

2. On the Mail tab, click the New button.

3. Select the option Manually set the server settings or additional server types and click the Next button.

4. Select Internet E-mail option and click the Next button.

. 5 Fill in the fields:

  • Name: enter your name.
  • E-mail: your full email address.
  • Account Type: Select POP3.
  • : Incoming mail server type mail.yourdomain.
  • Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: enter mail.yourdomain.
  • Username: enter your full e-mail.
  • Password: the password of the email.

Then click the More Settings button.

6. Click the Outgoing Server tab and enable the option My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and Use same settings. the incoming mail server.

7. Click the Advanced tab and change the port from the outgoing (SMTP) to 587, and then click OK.

8. Click the Next button to finish creating your account.

Ready! Your account is already configured. Just click on the Finish button.
