Follow the steps below to configure Microsoft Outlook 2010 for POP access.
- Open Microsoft Outlook 2010;
- Click the File menu and, soon after, the center of the screen, click Add Account;
- Select the option "Manually set the server settings or additional server types", click "Next";
- Select "Internet E-mail" option;
- Click Next;
- Under User Information:
- Fill in the name field with your full name or the name you want to appear;
- Fill in the Address field also e-mail with your full email address (eg usuario@xxx.com.br);
- Under Logon Information:
- Fill in the Username field with your username (username) (converted to complete the final accounts "@ seudominio.com.br") (eg usuario@seudominio.com.br);
- Also fill the password field with the corresponding password. If you want, check the Remember Password box to not have to enter it when you perform the download and the sending of messages;
- Leave the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) unchecked;
- Type of Account: POP3
- Under Server Information, enter the Server field and incoming email as mail.seudomínio.com.br
- Fill in the Server field and outgoing mail as: mail.seudomínio.com.br
- Click More Settings;
- In the Outgoing Server tick the My server requires authentication.
- Click the Advanced tab and change the port from the outgoing (SMTP) to 587, and then click OK.
- Click Next and, soon after, Finish.
